- Platinum catalysts have a much greater tendency than palladium to reduce aromatic and heteroaromatic rings, and a reduced tendency to bring about hydrogenolysis e.g. of benzyl groups. Other applications of platinum catalysts include: reduction of double bonds; aromatic nitro compounds to amines, and to N-arylhydroxylamines in alcoholic solution, containing 1-2% DMSO; hydrazones to hydrazines; imines to amines; benzonitriles to dibenzylamines in the presence of 0.5 mole water.

- 方法一:工业上生产铂可用铂矿经干法制造;亦可以铜、镍的硫化矿制取铜、镍的生产过程中生成副产物作为原料,经湿法冶炼制得。 湿法在已提取镍、铜的残留组分中加入王水进行抽提,过滤,向滤液中加入氯化铵进行反应,生成氯铂酸铵沉淀,过滤,把氯铂酸铵加热分解,制得约99.99%铂成品。或者将氯铂酸铵溶液加入电解槽中,在槽电压约1.5 V、电流密度为2~3 A/cm 3 的情况下进行电解,制得约99.98%铂成品。
