- 提纯方法:在120ml60℃水中加入30g粉末状的粗品,使之全部溶解,加入2g粉末状活性炭,搅拌10~15min,用灼烧过的布氏漏斗过滤,将滤液冷却至10~15℃,再冷至0℃放置过夜。用玻璃砂漏斗抽滤析出的结晶,用10ml乙醇洗涤,再用10ml乙醚洗涤,在空气中干燥。 铜铁试剂也可以用乙醇重结晶加以精制。
- 用途二:比色测定铝、铋、铜、铁汞、锌、锰、铌、镓、钽、钍、钛、钒、锡等元素的重量测定。在强酸溶液中定量测定铁,定量分析钒酸盐,与其他金属在一起时分离铜和铁,测稀土时作掩蔽剂。

- 方法一:将苯胲乙醚溶液在冰溶中冷却,通入氨至过量,在搅拌和继续通氨的情况下,滴加亚硝酸正丁酯,1h左右加完,再搅拌15min。滤出铜铁灵沉淀,用乙醚洗涤,干燥得成品。该品应贮放在棕色玻瓶中,瓶内放置少量用纸(或布)包好的碳酸铵作稳定剂。
- 分析试剂:铜铁试剂是一种重要的分析试剂,为N-亚硝基羟胺的铵盐,俗称铜铁灵。通常情况下为白色或淡黄色光亮的鳞片状结晶,有甜味,久置因慢慢分解而颜色变暗,但实际上还可以在分析上使用。它易溶于水、苯、醇、醚。试剂受热分解生成硝基苯。在光和空气中不稳定,需要保存在棕色磨口试剂瓶中,通常瓶内放置少量用纸或布包好的碳酸铵作为防腐剂,放在密封避光阴凉处。可用作铜、铁、锡、钛、钒、铬等元素的沉淀剂和溶剂萃取剂,测定稀土作掩蔽剂。 将硝基苯用锌粉在氯化铵水溶液中还原,得到苯基羟胺,再将后者溶于乙醚中,通入过量氨气,并加入亚硝酸正丁酯,则得铜铁试剂,能与多种金属离子形成稳定的五元环螯合物,因此,它是常用的有机沉淀剂。可在强酸溶液中定量测定Fe3+离子,还可测定Cu2+,Sn4+,Ti4+,Ga3+,Hf4+等离子以及钒酸盐(VO-3,VO3-3)。当Fe3+,Cu2+离子与其它金属离子混在一起时,可用此试剂将它们分离出来。又是Al3+,Au3+,Be2+,Co2+,La3+,Pu4+等离子的螯合萃取剂及测定稀土金属离子的掩蔽剂等。
