用途三:均三嗪类除草剂。易被土壤吸附在表层，形成毒土层，浅根性杂草幼苗根系吸收到药剂即被杀死。对根系较深的多年生或深根杂草效果较差。用于玉米、甘蔗、高粱、茶树、橡胶及果园、苗圃除防由种子繁殖的一年生或越年生阔叶杂草和多数单子叶杂草；对由根茎或根芽繁殖的多年生杂草有明显的抑制作用；适当增大剂量也作森林防火道、铁路路基沿线、庭院、仓库存区、油罐区、贮木场等作灭生性除草剂。推荐用药量：玉米30～60g/100m 2 (夏玉米15～30g/100m 2 )；高粱30～66g/100m 2 ；甘蔗22.5～30g/100m 2 ；茶22.5～37.5g/100m 2 ；橡胶45～67.6g/100m 2 ；果园45～75g/100m 2 ；苗圃每平方米1～2g。对水配制成悬浮液喷洒土表。
方法二:由三嗪氯氰与乙胺在酸接受体存在下反应而得。如果以水为反应介质，则在0℃左右加料，然后在70℃保温搅拌2h。如果反应在三氯乙烯等溶剂中进行，则反应温度为30-50℃。原料消耗定额：三聚氯氰（96%）1020kg/t、一乙胺（折100%）520kg/t、液碱

注意事项:[1]西玛津的残效期长，对某些敏感后茬作物生长有不良影响，如对小麦、大麦、燕麦、棉花、大豆、水稻、瓜类、油菜、花生、向日葵、十字花科蔬菜等有药害。施用西玛津的地块，不宜套种豆类、瓜类等敏感作物，以免发生药害。 [2]西玛津用药量应根据土壤的有机质含量、土壤质地，气温而定，一般气温高有机质含量低的沙质土用量低，反之用量高，在有机质含量很高的地块，因用量成本大，最好不要用西玛津。 [3]西玛津不可用于落叶松的新播及换床苗圃
