方法一:方法 1：熔烧法以 N，N-二甲基苯胺为主要原料，首先与甲醛缩合得二芳基甲烷，经蒸馏、结晶精制后，用尿素、硫磺、氯化铵氨化后经过滤、干燥即得成品。。氨化反应实际为硫化、亚氨化和成盐三步反应一步完成，即将 4，4 ' -二甲氨基二苯甲烷、硫磺、尿素和氯化铵按比例加入氨化釜，升温至 (200±5)℃，反应 4h，出料即得。方法 2：溶剂法新近研制的溶剂法以乙二醇为溶剂，使反应温度降低，收率大幅度提高。反应过程如下：。于反应釜中投入乙二醇 300g、硫磺 58g，于 (140±5)℃通入氨气，反应 4h 后加入氯化铵 80g，继续通氨气反应 16h，总通氨气量约 102g。反应结束，冷却，结晶，过滤，烘干，得产品约 155g。

溶于冷水，易溶于热水呈亮黄色，溶于乙醇呈黄色，其水溶液温度超过70℃时会分解为四甲基苯甲酮，其水溶液加入浓硫酸呈无色，稀释后呈淡黄色。水中溶解度:10 g/l (20°C)。溶于DMF、丙酮。
