- Cesium carbonate promotes the efficient O-alkylation of alcohols to form mixed alkyl carbonates. It is a catalyst for aerobic oxidation of primary alcohols, 1,4-addition reactions, intramolecular C-N cross coupling reactions and dehydrohalogenative polycondensation reactions.
